Our mission is to accelerate the science and technology needed to make agriculture more humane for all.
About us
Around half of US land is agricultural, pastureland, or grazing ranges, but the science of how best to manage this land for agricultural productivity, wild animal welfare, and human flourishing is limited. Fairer Fields exists to change this.
We run coordinated research programs to accelerate the development of new agricultural practices and technologies, and then work with farmers to implement them directly on their crops.
We research and promote technologies and practices that improve outcomes for wild animals and support farmers. We also work with industry and agricultural technology companies to implement better practices on fields.
Our research areas include insecticide application, pollination services, biological control, and other critical areas of agriculture.

Kadie Britt holds a Ph.D. in entomology from Virginia Tech, a Master’s in entomology and plant pathology from the University of Tennessee, and a Bachelor’s in environmental studies from Emory & Henry College. She also completed a postdoctoral research appointment and served as a program coordinator with the University of California.
Shloka is a Ph.D. Candidate in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at Princeton University, where her research interests combine theoretical ecology and biogeochemistry. Previously, she earned a B.S. in Applied Mathematics from Columbia University.
Julie Augustin obtained her Ph.D. in Insect Behavioral Ecology from the University of Montreal, Canada. She holds a BS.c. and MS.c. in Plant Protection, and completed two postdoctoral fellowships: the first at the French Agricultural Research and Cooperation Organization, focusing on biocontrol using service plants, and the second at the HUN-REN Centre for Ecological Research, focusing on the monitoring of mosquitoes using bioacoustics and AI.
Juliette Williamson is the Program Coordinator at Fairer Fields, where she leads outreach across the insecticide, seed, and agricultural sectors.
